For as long as I can remember, I have always possessed a great fondness for painting and drawing wildlife. Though today many of my professional responsibilities air on the design/interactive side of things, I’m always on the hunt for ways in which I can incorporate my illustrated style. Below are a few illustrations, most created digitally in Photoshop. The very last bird images were all done in water color.
Inspired by traditional National Park posters, the Wunder Poster Series allowed us to take various weather phenomena and illustrate these conditions for our community. I was tasked with the creation of three different posters, and responsible for creating additional elements to unify the set. I always begin first in my sketchbook. These are some quick background studies to help pin down a direction.

For Earth Day, the design team at Weather Underground decided to go with a theme of progress. My contribution took the form of a poster. Borrowing heavily from science fiction movies and novels I arrived on this composition. The final size is 18"x24".
